The Association of Dogs and Cats Homes (ADCH) recently held elections for three positions on its Board of Trustees. The results were announced at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 14 July by ADCH Honorary Secretary Mike Webb.

The Association of Dogs and Cats Homes (ADCH) hosted its Annual General Meeting (AGM) virtually on 14 July 2026, bringing together member organisations from across the UK, Ireland and the Channel Islands. The online event provided a valuable opportunity to reflect on the achievements of the past year, review the Association’s annual accounts and share the results of the Board elections.

We are absolutely thrilled to congratulate ADCH Trustee David Bowles on being awarded an OBE in the King’s Birthday Honours List for services to animal welfare. David is Head of Public Affairs at the RSPCA, where he works tirelessly to advocate for animals, and is also Chair of the ADCH Legislative Committee.

At the end of May, ADCH Member Margaret Green Animal Rescue said farewell to their CEO, Nigel Mason, as he prepares for his retirement after a career of more than 40 years in animal welfare. ADCH is honoured to share their farewell tribute to Nigel, highlighting his remarkable commitment to animals and his impact on the sector.
