ADCH is delighted to announce the appointment of Caroline Johnson as its new Executive Director, following a robust recruitment process. Caroline will join the Association in mid-October 2026.
Caroline will already be well known to many members through her extensive involvement with ADCH, including her roles as Vice Chair, committee chair and assessor. She also brings a wealth of experience from across the animal welfare sector, having previously served as CEO of Oak Tree Animals’ Charity, worked with Woodgreen, and supported a number of smaller rescue organisations.
Her knowledge of ADCH, its membership and the wider sector, combined with her leadership experience, make her exceptionally well placed to lead the Association through its next stage of development.
Caroline will join the Central Team in mid-October, allowing time for a smooth handover with current Executive Director Rebecca Cooper before Becky leaves ADCH at the end of October.
The Board looks forward to welcoming Caroline into the role and working with her as ADCH continues to strengthen its support for members and advance its strategic priorities across the animal welfare sector.
