This Valentines, we proudly celebrate a significant milestone – 40 years of ADCH!

Founded on this very day in 1985 the organisation that is now known as ADCH was born from a vision of collaboration and shared commitment to improving the welfare of dogs and cats.

It has come to our attention that ‘companies’ are contacting some of our Members and Exhibitors to offer them sale of attendee lists from ADCH Conference 2025. Unfortunately, this has become a more common occurrence for Association Conferences in recent years and is a sector wide problem.

We are excited to announce that applications for Full Membership with ADCH are now open! This period will run from Monday 10th February to Sunday 2nd March.

We’re excited to welcome The Cat Welfare Group to the ADCH community as our newest Full Member.

As we begin 2025, we are pleased to announce the first organisations to become Solidarity Members.

In 2025, ADCH proudly marks an incredible milestone: 40 years of supporting and uniting dog and cat rescue and rehoming organisations across the UK, Ireland, Channel Islands, and Isle of Man.

ADCH is delighted to celebrate Marina Fiddler, ADCH Trustee and co-founder of MADRA (Mutts Anonymous Dog Rescue and Adoption), on receiving an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Galway.

As part of the recent open meeting at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Brighton Waterfront, we were pleased to host a wellbeing session focused on the emotional wellbeing of shelter staff and volunteers.
