This November, ADCH members will be heading to the beautiful Brighton seaside for our final ADCH Open Meeting of 2024! Hosted by our members, RSPCA Sussex North & Brighton, this event promises to be a memorable occasion.

The Association of Dogs and Cats Homes (ADCH) has become a member of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO).

We are excited to announce that applications for Full Membership with ADCH are now open for the third round of 2024. This period will run from Monday, 12 August to Sunday, 1 September.

The heartbreaking news of the three young girls who lost their lives in Southport last week has deeply affected us all. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with their families, loved ones and community as they navigate this time of profound grief. This tragedy serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of compassion, empathy, and unity.

Yesterday marks one year since Rebecca Cooper joined ADCH as Executive Director, a milestone she reflects on with immense gratitude and enthusiasm. “Everyone has offered such a warm welcome, and I am thrilled to have been part of ADCH for a whole year – the time has flown by.” she shared.

ADCH is delighted to welcome our newest Full Member, Spirit of the Dog Rescue, predominantly Essex based, run entirely by volunteers and funded by donations.

We were up early this morning to watch an important feature on BBC Breakfast, which first aired around 6:50am, highlighting the financial crisis facing rescue and rehoming charities.
