The ADCH Board has announced a change in its Treasurer role. Yvonne Goddard has now stepped down from the role of Honorary Treasurer, and we’d like to extend our sincere thanks for the support she has given during her time in the position. We’re delighted to confirm that Peter Hepburn has been appointed as our new Honorary Treasurer, continuing his commitment to ADCH in this new capacity.

Our last Open Meeting of the year took place on 25th November 2025 at the Grand Hotel Gosforth Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, hosted by Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter.

This Trustees’ Week 2025, we would like to recognise the enormous impact Trustees make to the work of all our Members.

We’re excited to announce that applications for Full Membership with ADCH open tomorrow, for our final application period of 2025. This window will run from Monday 3 to Sunday 23 November.

We’re delighted that our most recently formed Regional Group, the Islands Regional Group, has been gaining widespread recognition, with coverage from both local and national media outlets.

This weekend (3rd–5th October) is Mars Global Adoption Weekend, encouraging people across the UK to consider adopting a pet.

Collaboration and peer support is at the heart of ADCH’s work and we’re delighted to share that Members now have access to eleven Regional Groups across the UK, Ireland, Isle of Man and Channel Islands.
