Giles Webber Re-Elected as Chair of ADCH for Second Term
The Association of Dogs and Cats Homes (ADCH) is delighted to announce the re-election of Giles Webber, Chief Executive of Birmingham Dogs Home, as Chair for a second term. Giles, who was first elected by members in 2021, will continue to bring his extensive experience and commitment to the role.
Giles has been a passionate volunteer for ADCH since 2015, initially serving on the management committee and later as a Trustee on the ADCH board. His tenure has been marked by significant contributions, including the charity hosting its largest event to date with over 550 attendees at their conference this year, a record number of ADCH members, the recruitment of an Executive Director, and playing a crucial role in supporting members during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Reflecting on his re-election, Giles said, “I am honoured to be re-elected as Chair of ADCH and look forward to continuing our important work. The past few years have been challenging, but together, we have made significant strides in supporting our member organisations and ensuring the ADCH minimum welfare standards are met by more charities caring for dogs and cats. I am excited about the future and the opportunities ahead.”
The ADCH Board of Trustees has outlined a new strategy at the start of this year, guiding the organisation through to the end of the decade. Giles re-election as Chair ensures continuity and stability as ADCH embarks on this strategic journey, aiming to enhance support for member organisations and improve the welfare of dogs and cats across the UK.
