About this Event
Our Open Meeting for this quarter is going to be held virtually on Tuesday 11th July at 10:00. We are going to have two interesting sessions which we believe will be relevant to all members, and would encourage as many of you to join us as possible:
- Update on microchipping in the UK
Founder members of the newly formed Association of Microchip Database Operators, Simon Clark of PETTrac and Phil McKinnon of Chipworks will provide members with an update on the work and aims of the Association, and what this means for our sector. You will be able to submit questions in advance when you register for the meeting, and if time allows, we will also take questions from the floor. - Electric shock collars banned – what next for training and behaviour?
We’ll hold an interactive session to start ADCH’s engagement with members to consider the definition of aversive training and methods. We will look at ways we use to control, manage and modify the behaviour of the animals in our care. We will have qualified behaviourists from within ADCH’s volunteer force, and be joined by Anne McBride, Chairperson of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC)
