Role Title: Volunteer Greyhound Trust Gardener

Purpose of the role:
Our Branch volunteer gardeners help support the team to maintain the site so that it is safe to use for all our greyhounds.
Key responsibilities:
Cutting the grass on site.
Responding accordingly to site needs as directed by the manager.
Safe handling of gardening tools.
Support the set-up and upkeep of planting areas, raised beds, or pots
Help keep the outdoor space safe, tidy, and accessible
Work with staff to plan seasonal planting or small garden projects
Report any concerns or maintenance needs to staff
Required skills & Competencies:
We are looking for a volunteer who:
Interest in gardening or outdoor activities (no expert knowledge needed
ยท Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent face to face communication skills with the ability to listen.
Undertake manual handling training.
Comfortable around greyhounds
Undertake health and safety training.
Confident and approachable manner.
Ability to follow instructions.
Reliable and committed
Is over the age of 18 years.
