Remembering Lt. Col. Duncan Green CBE
The Association of Dogs and Cats Homes (ADCH) joins with the wider animal welfare sector in paying it’s heartfelt respects to Lt. Col. Duncan Green CBE, who passed away last week.
Amongst many significant roles in support of animals, Duncan chaired ADCH for a number of years and was an Honorary Vice President of the Association.
Duncan contributed hugely to animal welfare both in the UK and internationally, co-founding the International Companion Animal Welfare Conference which brought about improvements in the care of dogs throughout the world. His commitment to support the care of those most in need also changed the lives of retired greyhounds, cats, horses and many more species within the UK. There are plenty of humans who also felt his compassion and commitment – Duncan would never leave anyone behind.
He will be very much missed and remembered with huge fondness by the animal welfare community. We extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and former colleagues.
