Hooch

9 - 10 years old, Dogue de Bordeaux

x
9 - 10 years old, Dogue de Bordeaux

Hooch

Hunky Hooch is described as a beautiful inside and out. He loves human company and is an affectionate boy who enjoys lots of tummy rubs, playing with his squeaky toys, walks and exploring. He came into the Oldies Club rescue as a stray when his owner could no longer care for him. Hooch is in a foster home in Hampton Hill, Middlesex, waiting for someone to offer him a permanent, loving home.

Please read through all details to see if he is the dog for you.

Breed: Dogue de Bordeaux

Gender: Male

Age: 9 years old (approx.)

Living with dogs and cats: Although it’s believed Hooch had lived with another dog previously, he is reactive and protective of his owner and territory, so he would prefer to be the only pet in the home. Hooch chases small furry and feathered things!

Fine with older children: Hooch doesn’t like lots of noise, so older children and a calm home would be ideal.

Please read through all details to see if she is the dog for you.

Breed: Staffy

Age: 13 years old

Good with dogs: She would be happy living with another friendly dog

No cats

Could live with sensible, older children: GoGo’s foster carers think she’d be OK to live with children from age 10 who were considerate of her needs. She is deaf so needs owners with empathy and she wouldn’t want any surprises. She should be absolutely fine with visiting grandchildren.

Please read through all details to see if he is the dog for you.

Breed: Boxer

Gender: Female

Cats: She is not suitable to be rehomed around cats.

Children: Hollie has been around children of all ages and is a very affectionate girl, but any children at home would have to be able to withstand her bouncy nature and lethal waggy tail.

Roman

Hey there, my name is Roman. I’ve been told I was named so, because of my big nose, but I am so busy observing everything else around me, I don’t even notice it. Hopefully you think i look handsome. I am having a great time here at the centre and my humans have been teaching me loads! I can sit, give paw and lay down when asked and I am learning not to get over excited when I see exciting things for the first time. I have been working really hard and the team at the National Greyhound Centre are really impressed with my progress. I am a lovely boy and i want to share all my love but i will need someone who can help with ongoing guidance and training. I would love to meet someone who is willing to work with me and continue to help me learn the ways of the world. Please get in touch with my humans on 0204 599 7471 or [email protected]

Cooper

3 year old collie

x
3 year old collie

Cooper

Cooper is a 3 year old neutered black and white medium coated collie. Cooper is a nervous boy and can be reactive if approached suddenly. He requires an owner with a knowledge of dog behaviour and someone that can read canine body language so he isn’t put in situations he finds difficult. Cooper is housetrained, is good when left alone various hours, knows all basic commands and travels okay in a vehicle but is restless.  He can be reactive to some other dogs when out walking so would be best as a only dog.

Famale, saluki X

Trapeze

Trapeze is a very special dog, and is definitely one for our saluki super fans! She’s a real free spirit, who likes to do everything on her own terms – she’s the self-appointed Queen of Kennels! She’s looking for an understanding and patient new family, who will love her for her quirks and eccentric ways. Trapeze is a special and complex girl who will only thrive in a very specific home environment, please read all details to ensure she is the dog for you before applying.

Breed: Saluki x

Gender: Female

Other dogs:. Could live with a dog

Cats: Not cat trainable

Children: Adult only home (no children)

Potential adopter must be able to visit kennels in Somerset, multiple times, most likely over a period of a few weeks or possibly even longer.

Elton

x
medium/large cross breed

Elton

Elton is a 9 year old, medium/large cross breed who loves affection. Although he can be shy when he first meets you, he soon overcomes the nerves and acts like his goofy self! Elton is looking for a quiet, adult only household. He is not keen on other dogs so would need to be the only pet in the home, however, he can go on walks with dogs that he gets to know. His carers can’t understand why this sweet boy has been with them for over 2 years! They would absolutely love for their resident Elton to find his forever home, as he is the most deserving boy ever.

Please read all details to ensure she is the dog for you before applying.

Breed: Cross (Medium/large size)

Gender: Male

Other dogs:. Could not live with another dog

Cats: Could not live with a cat

Children: Adult only home (no children)

Home needed: Elton needs to be the only dog in a quiet home, with people who are willing to give him the time he deserves.

Rosie

Born in 2013

x
Born in 2013

Rosie

Rosie is very loving and loves her ball which she will happily carry almost everywhere with her. She enjoys her walks and really comes into her own on a one to one basis and so happy with herself. She is great in the car. Her face is always happy no matter what life throws at her.

Rosie does have some pet hates so please read all details to ensure she is the dog for you before applying.

Gender: Female

Other dogs:. Could not live with another dog. Dogs are a big issue for Rosie. She has been attacked herself on several occasions so this is likely to affect her attitude towards dogs.

Cats: Could not live with a cat

Other dislikes: vacuum cleaners and irons. While it may sound appealing to not be able to do any vacuuming or ironing, realistically it does come with its issues. She doesn’t like to be left on her own so putting her in another room is unlikely to work. This is something that could be worked on but it will take time and patience.

Clover

Greyhound

x
Greyhound

Clover

Clover is a lovely four year old girl who is very sweet natured. Clover enjoys playing with toys, the squeakier the better! She is very clean in her kennel and is a quiet soul, even at dinnertime.

Clover could live happily in a home with another male greyhound. Clover likes exploring her surroundings on walks so is better with a harness on. She is uninterested by other breeds of dog as she has been on regular walks to the park where there are lots of them! Clover would make a wonderful addition to a home, we really can’t understand why she keeps getting overlooked.

If you could offer Clover the forever home that she so deserves, please contact the Darlington branch on 07504871527 or email [email protected]
