ADCH Welcomes New Trustees Following 2025 Board Elections

The Association of Dogs and Cats Homes (ADCH) recently held elections for three positions on its Board of Trustees. The results were announced at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 15 July, presented by ADCH Secretary Mike Webb.

This year’s election saw 11 nominations from members for the three available positions. We’re pleased to confirm the re-election of Peter Hepburn, who will continue to serve as a Trustee and Chair of the ADCH Standards and Animal Welfare Committee. Peter’s ongoing support and commitment to ADCH and the Board are deeply valued, and we congratulate him on his re-election.

We’re also delighted to welcome two newly elected Trustees: Vickie McDerby and Emma Harrison. Vickie, founder and trustee of Woodlands Animal Sanctuary in West Lancashire, has long supported ADCH through her work as a volunteer assessor, a member of the Member Engagement Committee, and a conference speaker. Emma, Head of Volunteering at StreetVet, brings extensive sector experience and has volunteered as an ADCH assessor for over eight years. We look forward to welcoming them both to the Board.

Special recognition was given to several outgoing Trustees. Nicola White, Adam Clowes, and Marina Fiddler were each thanked for their valuable contributions during their time on the Board. Nicola’s term concluded after three years, and she will continue her involvement as a member of the Standards and Welfare Committee. Adam and Marina retired after six years of service; both will continue to support ADCH through their ongoing roles on the Standards and Welfare and Member Engagement Committees, respectively. The commitment and experience all three brought to their roles has been deeply appreciated.

The Board also expressed their gratitude to Shakespeare Martineau LLP for their support as independent scrutineers of the election, ensuring a fair and transparent process.
