ADCH Regional Groups Continue to Grow
Collaboration and peer support is at the heart of ADCH’s work and we’re delighted to share that Members now have access to eleven Regional Groups across the UK, Ireland, Isle of Man and Channel Islands.
This growth has only been possible thanks to the support of Pets Foundation, whose funding has enabled ADCH to launch Regional Groups and recruit and support the volunteers who coordinate them. We are hugely grateful to our team of thirteen Volunteer Regional Coordinators, who generously give their time, skills and expertise to bring Members together and ensure the success of each group.
Michelle Widger, ADCH Volunteer Manager, said: “We are thrilled to have recently launched our 11th Regional Group covering the Channel Islands and Isle of Man. Our Volunteer Regional Coordinators do an incredible job facilitating these groups, and it’s fantastic to see more Members benefiting from opportunities to connect locally, share knowledge and work together.”
Our Regional Groups aim to provide ADCH Members with opportunities to communicate and work together to:
• Boost peer support at a local level.
• Share knowledge and best practice
• Promote collaboration and joint opportunities locally
• Address local difficulties and issues with a solution-focused approach
Regional Groups meet quarterly and most alternate between in-person and virtual meetings. We are already hearing how beneficial Members find engaging with their local Regional Group with many emphasising how useful it is to build local connections; work collaboratively on local priorities; and share knowledge and expertise.
