ADCH Celebrates Volunteers’ Week 2026!

ADCH is proud to be celebrating Volunteers’ Week 2026 – a chance to recognise and thank the thousands of volunteers who make our work, and the work of our members, possible.

Across the ADCH network, volunteers play a vital role every day, whether supporting ADCH directly or contributing to one of our member organisations. The time and care they give make a real difference to animals, people and communities.

We know that being part of a team supporting a chosen charity brings a strong sense of pride and purpose, and this is reflected in the dedication we see across our volunteer network.

We also recognise that this continues to be a challenging time for many rescues, and that can have an impact on the people behind the work. The kindness, resilience and commitment of volunteers make a real difference – not just to animals, but to the teams and communities they support.

If you’re a volunteer in the animal welfare sector, we hope your involvement brings a sense of pride and fulfilment, and that you feel part of a wider community working towards a shared goal: improving the lives of dogs, cats and the people who care for them.

To every volunteer across the ADCH network, thank you. Your support strengthens our work and helps our members care for tens of thousands of animals every year.
