ADCH Celebrates the Launch of its Twelfth Regional Group, Thanks to Support from the Pets Foundation

Thanks to the generous support of the Pets Foundation, ADCH has been able to continue expanding and strengthening our Regional Group network. We are delighted to announce the formation of our twelfth Regional Group, covering London and Kent – an exciting milestone in our commitment to supporting collaboration across the sector.

Each Regional Group is led by dedicated Volunteer Regional Coordinators who play a vital role in creating opportunities for ADCH Members to connect, share knowledge, and work together. In 2025 alone, our Regional Coordinators facilitated 23 meetings, welcoming over 200 attendees from across the UK, Isle of Man and Channel Islands.

Sarah Eden, Regional Co-Coordinator of the South West Group, reflects on what makes these groups so impactful:

“Overall, the success of the South West Regional Group hasn’t come from doing anything complicated. It’s come from trust, openness, and a shared commitment to doing what’s right for animals. And for the people working within the sector, we’re no longer our lone islands working in isolation. Instead, we’re a colourful community connected by shared values and a common goal to help pets the best way possible.”

The value of Regional Groups is echoed by Peter Newcombe, Regional Coordinator of the South Midlands Group, who strongly encourages ADCH Members to get involved:

“We all learn every time we go to these meetings, because it’s just refreshing. When I joined the animal welfare sector, I found you can feel a little isolated on your own, and it’s great to talk to likeminded people about the same issues and challenges. It just makes you feel a bit more positive, really. I’d urge any ADCH Members to join their local group and get the benefit of it.”

Regional Groups continue to foster connection, professional development, and peer support all made possible through the dedication of our wonderful team of Volunteer Regional Coordinators and the ongoing support of the Pets Foundation.
