Our vision is a world where all pets are well cared for in loving homes for life. To achieve this, we not only provide care for pets in need, but also help people be the best pet owners they can be.Every year, Woodgreen is there for tens of thousands of pets and their people. By giving bespoke care for pets who need our help or providing advice and support to pet people, Woodgreen is not only committed to doing more now, but is also looking to the future.The expectations on organisations like Woodgreen are changing and so, for us play our part in this changing world, our current and future services need to adapt to better promote and support the needs of pets in society. We are very proud of our legacy; we want to be equally proud of our future.To match our ambition and commitment to the welfare of pets and their people, we require new Trustees and across a variety of professional backgrounds and experience, including Communities and Social Impact, Strategic and Organisational Development, Veterinary Leadership and Treasury.With 6 Council meetings per year and up to 6 additional committee commitments our Trustees provide clear strategic direction to Woodgreen, setting overall policy, defining goals, setting targets, and evaluating performance against them.As a platform to utilise your skills and experience and make a direct difference to the welfare of pets and people, becoming a Trustee is also a great way to expand both your professional and personal network through meeting and working with likeminded people that share a passion for promoting animal welfare. With a strong commitment to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion you will bring your insights to our workplace. Together we will join forces to make greater strides towards our vision.The role of a Trustee is not accompanied by any financial remuneration although expenses for travel may be claimed.The closing date for applications is: 10th July 2022
