Are you a researcher who’s looking for a role where you can contribute towards improving pet welfare?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Officer to join our Pet Services team to support the development of our ambitious new strategy.
To be successful in this role you will have in depth postgraduate experience of quantitative and/or qualitative research, preferably relating to an animal welfare or behaviour topic. You will have excellent communication skills, be a team player with strong interpersonal skills and you will be motivated by the aims and objectives of Wood Green and a desire to improve the lives of pets.
The role is varied and will include close interaction with various teams and departments, especially those in Pet Owner Support Services and Pet Care & Veterinary Services and will include engagement at a high level – including Trustees and Leadership. As such it is important that the Research Officer possesses strong communication skills and can communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
The Research Officer will play a key role in informing the direction and development of the Pet Services Strategy, reporting to the Director of Pet & Owner Support Services and supporting other pet services departments by developing and delivering research to support the decisions they make in working with pets, owners, the wider general public and policy makers.
Please forward us an up to date copy of your CV along with a supporting statement highlighting why you feel you are the person for the role.
This is a hybrid based role, working between Godmanchester and a home base.
