SUMMARY:July 2023 Virtual Open Meeting
DESCRIPTION:About this Event\nOur Open Meeting for this quarter is going to be held virtually on Tuesday 11th July at 10:00. We are going to have two interesting sessions which we believe will be relevant to all members\, and would encourage as many of you to join us as possible: \n\nUpdate on microchipping in the UK \nFounder members of the newly formed Association of Microchip Database Operators\, Simon Clark of PETTrac and Phil McKinnon of Chipworks will provide members with an update on the work and aims of the Association\, and what this means for our sector.You will be able to submit questions in advance when you register for the meeting\, and if time allows\, we will also take questions from the floor.\nElectric shock collars banned – what next for training and behaviour? \nWe’ll hold an interactive session to start ADCH’s engagement with members to consider the definition of aversive training and methods. We will look at ways we use to control\, manage and modify the behaviour of the animals in our care. We will have qualified behaviourists from within ADCH’s volunteer force\, and be joined by Anne McBride\, Chairperson of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC)\n\nYou can find the full programme here.\nWho can attend\nThis event is available for ADCH Members and invited Sponsors. \nCost to attend\nThere is no cost to attend the Open Meeting. \nRegistration\nYou will need to pre-register for Tuesday’s meeting by clicking here. DESCRIPTION:About this Event\nThe forum is aimed at ADCH Member fundraisers of all levels and plans to provide fundraisers with a platform to collaborate and share ideas to benefit local animal welfare organisations. \nLisa Harrison\, Fundraising Manager for National Animal Welfare Trust\, will be hosting the July meeting on Tuesday 18th of July 2023\, 11am-12pm via Zoom. \nWe are excited to now share the details of the guest speakers at our upcoming forum meeting on the 18th July at 11am. Please see below: \nWe will have two gues speakers from Guardaian Angel\, who will deliver a presentation on ‘Utilising a free wills service within your legacy programme’. Katie Wimpenny (Senior Partnership Manager) & Dylan Burke (Head of Charity Partnerships) will cover an overview of how Guardian Angel’s  services and campaigns work and share some of their top tips and insights on how Members can utilise a free wills service within their legacy programmes. \nThis session will be delivered in first half of the meeting\, with the remainder of the meeting to be for questions\, informal discussion and idea and solution sharing between the forum. \nWho can attend\nThis event is available for ADCH Members. \nCost to attend\nThere is no cost to attend. \nRegistration\nYou will need to pre-register for forum by clicking here.
