SUMMARY:Cats Protection's Guide to Kitten Neutering
DESCRIPTION:About this Event\nIn this 60-minute session\, Cats Protection’s Jane Clements\, Head of Neutering and Alison Richards\, Head of Clinical Services\, will be exploring the importance of neutering at 4 months. The aim of this session is to improve your understanding of the importance of 4 month neutering for both the individual and the wider cat population. We also aim to support conversations with your vet around neutering at 4 months. We know that vet practice policies on neutering ages are changing\, but there are still many vets who are reluctant to neuter at 4 months\, and through this session we aim to dispel myths and provide you with resources that will support these conversations. This includes introducing Cat-Kind\, a collaborative group of organisations that aims to normalise neutering at 4 months in the veterinary profession and also provides a data-base of vets that are neutering cats at this age. There will be opportunities for Q&A\, so we hope to resolve any questions or concerns you have about kitten neutering. \nWho can attend\nThis event is available for ADCH Members. \nCost to attend\nThere is no cost to attend. \nRegistration\nYou will need to pre-register for forum by clicking here. SUMMARY:Dog Neutering – An overview of the latest evidence of what should be considered for neutering different breeds and post adoption considerations for owners
DESCRIPTION:About this Event\nDogs Trust promotes neutering to reduce the risk of disease and as the most effective method of humanely controlling the dog population. Based on a comprehensive review of all the currently available studies and due to the potential impact on skeletal maturity and joint health which may be seen in some dogs with earlier neutering (before 12 months of age)\, we are now recommending neutering at different ages based upon the expected adult body weight. \nWho can attend\nThis event is available for ADCH Members. \nCost to attend\nThere is no cost to attend. \nRegistration\nYou will need to pre-register for forum by clicking here. SUMMARY:ADCH Fostering Network Webinar
DESCRIPTION:About this Event\n24 February\, 11:00 \nSakura Anderson and Brian Reeves from the RSPCA will be leading an hour long webinar with interactive sessions to explore the idea of a fostering network across ADCH members. \nWe know the current climate is tough and there was a lot of discussion around collaboration and working better together at the ADCH conference\, and we think this could be a great opportunity to explore how this could work across a range of organisations\, considering the sizes and geographical reach of all members. \nWe know this is a very new and unexplored area around volunteering so we really want to use this session to capture as many ideas and concerns as we can\, and understand the appetite from members and consider how best to proceed with this. We really want those who attend to participate and contribute to the conversation. \nWho can attend\nThis event is available for ADCH Members. \nCost to attend\nThere is no cost for Members to attend this webinar. \nRegistration\nPlease register for this event here by Monday 13th February if you will be joining us. \nContact\nIf you would like to speak to us about this or have any comments before the webinar\, please contact us at fosteringsupport@rspca.org.uk

SUMMARY:Overview of the major donor fundraising (for beginners)
DESCRIPTION:This event is for ADCH members only \nAre you looking to diversify your income streams? Join us on 22 September as Beth Upton\, Founder of Money Tree Fundraising\, provides an overview of major donor fundraising for beginners.   \nA major donor is an individual who makes a gift that has a significant impact on the work of a fundraising organisation. There is no set threshold for what a ‘major gift’ is – for some organisations it might be £500 for others it might be £10\,000 and it can be money given over time\, rather than just a one-off donation.   \nWhen you know who to approach\, what to approach them with and how to do it well\, major donor fundraising will provide you with a step change in your fundraising income. Beth will be talking attendees through the steps to get there.  \nBeth founded Money Tree Fundraising in 2010\, having had a career in fundraising since 2002. In that time\, she has raised multi-millions for the causes for which she has worked. She was named a top fundraiser aged under 35 in 2014 and in 2015 Money Tree Fundraising was awarded Best Strategic/Fundraising Consultancy by the Institute of Fundraising. She was Chair of the Institute of Fundraising South East and London region until 2017 and sat on the Institute of Fundraising Standards Committee until 2016. In 2018 she was honoured to be made a Fellow of the Institute of Fundraising and was named one of the most influential people in fundraising in a poll run by Fundraising magazine.   \nHosted by: Beth Upton\, Money Tree Fundraising \nTo book your place please register here \n
